Embedded Software Engineer
JPAnalytics, LLC is a dynamic small business defining the future in underwater acoustic communications and sensing. We have finished the proof of concept and are starting development of the prototype of the first embedded open-source platform for underwater acoustic communications and sensing. Our Integrated Reconfigurable Intercommunication and Sensing (IRIS) Platform will change the paradigm for the development of advanced embedded systems for underwater applications and have a significant impact into the future. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and creative embedded software engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team of experts, make contributions to multiple aspects of development projects and company processes and take a leadership role on this major forward-looking project.
The Successful Candidate Will
Be the primary embedded developer for the IRIS Platform.
Contribute to and document the software architecture of the platform.
Develop new functional capabilities on the platform, and
Advise and consult to the team regarding the testing and evaluation of the IRIS Platform and the integration of the platform into host systems.
The Experience and Skills of This Candidate Will Include
Hands-on embedded programming experience in C, C++, OPENCL and Linux.
Experience optimizing code for power efficiency and execution speed.
Functional knowledge of linear algebra and signal processing applications.
Familiarity with Matlab at a level sufficient to translate such development code to embedded code, and
Experience with software project management throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC), creating software architectures and working with agile development methods.
General Requirements for the Candidate Are
U.S. Citizen.
Ability to work in a dynamic environment, and
